4 months old - March 9th

Mason at 4 months old. He weighs 14 pounds 10 ounces and is 24 inches long. His favorite things to do are smiling, trying to laugh, and most of all, trying to put his whole fist in his mouth! He can't get enough of his fingers! It's a pretty depressing time for me. I have to go back to work in a week. It's been hard coping with the thought of leaving Mason with someone else for 8 hours each day. I realize I am extremely lucky to be a teacher and have the summer off with him, but it's still hard! Tom says he has really softened me up! I agree! Every time he looks at me these days, he is all smiles and is so excited! Tom describes it as the look on Buddy Elf's face when he meets his dad - haha. He also really responds to Tom with smiles and little giggles. It's been hard to catch a lot of the good smiles on camera. As soon as he sees we are trying to take a picture or video, he stops!

Bath Time!

Mason absolutely LOVES taking a bath! He thinks it's funny to "add a little extra water of his own" as soon as I set him in his tub!

Grandma Diane's birthday

Mason wearing Tom's hat from when he was a baby!

Thanks Grandma Diane for taking these pictures! It's rare to see me in a picture with Mason, since I am usually the one with the camera!

Snow Days!

February has been full of snow! We've had several big snowstorms, one leaving over 18 inches of snow! Too bad Mason isn't old enough to go play in the snow or build a snowman. The good thing is Tom has had 4 extra days off school (so far) to spend with us! Mason is getting more and more fun each day. We are able to make him smile, especially right when he wakes up, during a bath, or after a diaper change. I am sad, though, that I only have one more month to stay home with the little guy before heading back to work. I just have to keep in mind that I am lucky enough to be able to spend 4 1/2 months at home with him.

3 months old - February 9th

Mason at 3 months old. He is 12 1/2 pounds and 23 1/2 inches long!
He has caught up to a full term 3 month old! Oh, and Mason rolled over from belly to back on his 3 month birthday! This has been the only time he has rolled over so far......

Mason sure LOVES his great-grandpa Miller!

I wish I could relax like this little guy!

Christmas Day 2009

We spent the day at my mom and dad's house with Kenny, Michelle and cousin Sydney. Later in the evening, more family came over. Tom bought Mason his first Air Jordan outfit.

Christmas Eve

Throughout the pregnancy, we always wondered if Mason would be here before Christmas. This little guy made SURE he was here for Christmas! We were excited to get him a little Santa suit.

We spent Christmas Eve with Tom's family in East Canton. It was Mason's first trip out (besides going to the doctor's office).
I think Ellie likes Mason :)

I guess you had to be there for this video. It was Christmas Eve, after midnight mass. Tom was holding Mason on the couch. Mason had a really strong grip on Tom's fingers and his eyes were huge, like he was scared.
