11 months old
Mason is now 11 months old! He is 21 pounds 11 ounces and 30 inches long. It's absolutely crazy that he is almost a year old. It seems like just yesterday we were in the NICU with him. Looking back, although those were VERY tiring days, they were some of the best days ever. The only thing Tom and I had to do for 3 weeks was to be there with Mason in the hospital. Whether it be holding him for hours, bathing him or just watching him in his incubator, we cherished every moment as a new family. The days are a little more hectic now, well, A LOT more hectic now, but we love the adventure. Mason is still such a pleasant baby. He eats well, sleeps great and is always smiling. He has 2 little bottom teeth. When he "talks," the sounds he makes include ma, ba, da and ga. He had his first little fever this month. Not sure what was going on because he had no other symptoms (besides being cranky). At least he got over it pretty fast. Some of the things Mason loves right now include handfuls of puffs, looking down someone's shirt for a necklace, flipping the pages when reading and of course, watching the Backyardigans!

10 months old - September 9th
Mason is now 10 months old! He is 21 pounds 3 ounces and still around 29 inches long (and wearing 12-18 month clothes). Not too much has changed since last month, except for now he has a tooth! He is also getting pretty good at using his finger and thumb to put food into his mouth. Tom and I are back to school and Mason is back at "Grandma" Mary's - and back to being the center of attention among all the girls there!

FIRST TOOTH!

9 month old - August 9th
I can't believe Mason is 9 months old already! He is 20 pounds 9 ounces and a little over 29 inches long. His personality blossoms more and more each day. He still has no interest in crawling, although he is rarely on his stomach. If we do put him on his stomach, he immediately flips over. He loves to stand with support. We think he will go straight to walking (just like Tom did). At times, he gets frustrated because he wants to move, but just doesn't know how. He also just learned how to say "ba." Mason still has no teeth at this point. As for eating, I started giving him puffs, yogurt melts, spaghetti, cut up bananas and blueberries. He is getting better each day at grabbing the food with his finger and thumb so that he can put it in his mouth.

So much for my signs - Mason knows they are there! It was really hard taking his picture this month because all he wanted to do was eat the sign!
