Snow Days!
February has been full of snow! We've had several big snowstorms, one leaving over 18 inches of snow! Too bad Mason isn't old enough to go play in the snow or build a snowman. The good thing is Tom has had 4 extra days off school (so far) to spend with us! Mason is getting more and more fun each day. We are able to make him smile, especially right when he wakes up, during a bath, or after a diaper change. I am sad, though, that I only have one more month to stay home with the little guy before heading back to work. I just have to keep in mind that I am lucky enough to be able to spend 4 1/2 months at home with him.

Christmas Eve

Throughout the pregnancy, we always wondered if Mason would be here before Christmas. This little guy made SURE he was here for Christmas! We were excited to get him a little Santa suit.

We spent Christmas Eve with Tom's family in East Canton. It was Mason's first trip out (besides going to the doctor's office).

I think Ellie likes Mason :)

I guess you had to be there for this video. It was Christmas Eve, after midnight mass. Tom was holding Mason on the couch. Mason had a really strong grip on Tom's fingers and his eyes were huge, like he was scared.

Going Home!
November 30th was a bittersweet day. After spending 3 weeks in the NICU, Mason was finally ready to go home. We were very excited but would also miss all of the NICU nurses who took such wonderful care of our little guy. It's like we got a crash course on how to raise a newborn, just by watching the nurses. It made for a very smooth transition home.
No more tubes!
November 27th - the day after Thanksgiving. Mason had a great day! He drank bottles on his own throughout the night. Since he was able to do this, they took his feeding tube out! The nurses told us if he continues to maintain his body temperature and drink from a bottle, he could go home Monday!
